The History of Fleur
Colorificio Centrale is an Italian family-run company founded in 1946, specializing in high-quality paints rooted in a rich history. With almost 80 years of experience in producing paints made for restoration work, the brand has created their greatest development aimed for all artists: Fleur Mineral Paint.
After adapting their original recipe to match modern ingredients, the company has mastered the production of combining the purest pigments and minerals to create exceptional colour vibrancy.
What is Mineral Paint?
Fleur Mineral Paint is a unique blend of 18 carefully selected ingredients, including pure minerals and high amounts of extremely fine pigments with superior quality. The minerals in the paint refract light on painted surfaces, creating a diffused light effect creating a dynamic vibrance unseen in other matte paints.
The extra-fine pigments give an extraordinary chromatic depth to the paint, which creates a visual sensation that plays with perception using colour and value.
This special recipe not only creates vibrancy and radiance but also boasts an extremely matte finish. Any Fleur colour has a maximum of 2% sheen, a standard that is very difficult to achieve with acrylic paint. This is what gives Fleur paint it’s signature chalky look without losing any colour quality.

Why Artists Love It
Fleur Mineral Paint comes in an expansive palette of 100 colours, allowing fine artists to create complex works where light and colour interact in unique ways. The special blend of pigments and minerals in the formula give work an authentic effect thanks to the chromatic realism in its light diffusion.
Fleur mineral paint can be used in several ways in fine art practices, used directly on canvases, with water for a watercolour effect, illustration, and even screen printing. Artists have used the paint in calligraphy and hand lettering, airbrush artwork, fluid art and pouring, dry brush techniques and much more.
